Lagos, Nigeria | March 2025 – We are delighted to announce that Health Emergency Initiative (HEI) has been selected as one of twelve grantees of the prestigious NNPC–First Exploration & Petroleum Development Company (First E&P) Joint Venture 2025 Grant Award.

The award ceremony took place at Mövenpick Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos State, with senior officials and executives from NNPC Ltd and First E&P Ltd in attendance.

Leading HEI’s delegation to the formal presentation was Dr Emmanuel Imafidon, Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT). A notable highlight of the event was a moving citation on HEI, presented by Mrs Peju Ibekwe, Chief Executive Officer of Sterling One Foundation, a subsidiary of Sterling Bank. It is especially worth noting that Sterling One Foundation nominated HEI for this significant recognition.

The grant will support HEI’s life-saving interventions, specifically:
• Medical assistance for indigent patients and accident victims, and
• First responder training programmes in Lagos and Bayelsa States.

This recognition reinforces HEI’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that “none should die” due to a lack of timely emergency care. We are sincerely grateful to NNPC–First E&P JV for their trust and to Sterling One Foundation for their continued support and belief in our mission.

May GOD be praised. In JESUS’ name.
