Malnutrition, to simply put, is the lack of basic nutrients needed to stay healthy and it is most predominant among the pediatric age. The inability to access the nutritional requirements of a child’s development, -either as a result of poverty or ignorance on the part of the caregivers- increases such a child’s susceptibility to life-threatening diseases.

It is estimated that about 54% of all our medical interventions in May, involved cases of children with diet-related diseases and it is getting on the rise.
A number of children have spent weeks and months battling with malnutrition and its consequences in some public hospitals.
